Description

Half of the US population lives on the coast currently, and this number is increasing. The need for boaters to use clean boating practices is crucial to ensure healthy waterways. Scdnr has utilized USFWS CVA funding in recent years to provide pumpout opportunities to recreational boaters in the state. This funding will allow for the continuation of the SC clean boater program which educates boaters on the importance of locating and utilizing pumpouts, as well as other clean boating practices to help protect SC s water resources.
