Description

These efforts have ensured that minnesotans have a high rate of awareness about AIS and a low violation rate. We will continue to monitor for new invasive species and newly infested waterbodies within the great lakes and great lakes region. Our two invasive species specialists are responsible for this work as well as technical support and permit issuance within and in surrounding the great lakes basin. The continuation of the organism in trade staff position will allow US to continue the work of addressing those pathways with the help of enforcement. Finally, we will continue to control nonnative phragmites in minnesota.
