The Vermont Department of Public Safety was awarded a $286,743.97 Project Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the BRIC: Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program (CFDA #97.047) to deliver hazard mitigation activities from December 23, 2021 through December 22, 2024. The Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program makes FEMA funds available to states, territories, tribes, and local communities to increase resilience to disasters and reduce losses from future disasters. This award will support the Vermont Department of Public Safety in conducting hazard mitigation projects and planning in Waterbury, VT to strengthen infrastructure and make communities better able to withstand damage from future disasters, consistent with the goals of the BRIC program.
