The Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded a $325,000 Project Grant to the Bear Paw Development Corporation of Northern Montana through the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302). The grant will support the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the Bear Paw Development District of Northern Montana through March 2025. The CEDS process brings together public and private sector stakeholders in the region comprising Blaine, Chouteau, Hill, Liberty, and Phillips counties to create an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy. Key deliverables include coordinating participation across sectors and jurisdictions to develop a strategic plan that identifies local economic priorities and goals and recommends actions to stimulate economic development and job growth.
