The Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration awarded a $280,000 Project Grant to the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments Fund under the Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302). The grant supports updating and continued implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy for the region served by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, comprising Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Livingston, St. Claire, and Monroe counties. The CEDS process brings together public and private sectors to create an economic development roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy. The products and services delivered through this October 1, 2022 award include maintenance and execution of the CEDS through September 30, 2023.
