The Buckeye Hills Regional Council was awarded a $700,000 project grant from the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration's Economic Development Support for Planning Organizations program (CFDA 11.302). The grant will support the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the eight-county region served by the Council through June 2025. As part of this federally-funded planning process, the Council and its sub-awardee, the Area Agency On Aging, will bring together public and private sector stakeholders to create an economic roadmap aimed at diversifying and strengthening the regional economy in Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, Perry, and Washington counties in Ohio.
