The Department of Housing and Urban Development Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development awarded Community Partnership For The Prevention Of Homelessness $296,930 under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) on February 1, 2026. The award funds eligible costs to establish and operate projects across five program components: permanent housing including permanent supportive housing for persons with disabilities and rapid rehousing; transitional housing; supportive services only; Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) operations; and homelessness prevention. Community Partnership, a minority woman-owned nonprofit based in Washington, D.C., operates as a Unified Funding Agency, receiving CoC awards and distributing portions through sub-awards to local nonprofit homeless assistance providers. The organization delivers rental assistance, housing relocation and stabilization services, shelter and transitional housing operations, case management, mental health and substance abuse treatment referrals, and job training across the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Performance runs through January 31, 2027, with place of performance in Washington, DC 20011. The program is designed to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness, provide funding for nonprofit providers and local governments to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation, promote access to mainstream programs, and optimize self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
