This federal Project Grant award of $296,926, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267), is intended to support the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness (The) in providing a range of housing assistance and homelessness prevention services in the Washington, D.C. area. The grant will fund activities such as rapid re-housing, rental assistance, housing counseling, shelter and transitional housing operations, case management, mental health/substance abuse treatment, and job training. As a non-profit community development corporation, the awardee will also redistribute portions of the grant funding through sub-awards to other local homeless service providers to coordinate a comprehensive, community-wide effort to quickly transition individuals and families experiencing homelessness into permanent housing and self-sufficiency. The grant period is from March 11, 2025 through an unspecified future end date.
