The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $518,006 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) grant to the State of Connecticut Department of Housing (DOH) to deliver a range of services aimed at quickly rehousing homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. The funding will support DOH's implementation of permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, and homelessness prevention initiatives across the state through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, local governments, and public housing agencies. As the lead state agency for administering federal housing assistance, DOH plans to utilize these Continuum of Care program resources to create and preserve affordable housing, prevent and end homelessness, and foster vibrant, equitable communities in Connecticut. The grant period runs from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
