The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $113,190 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) Project Grant to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) on November 1, 2024. The grant will fund LAHSA's efforts to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families in the greater Los Angeles area while minimizing trauma and promoting self-sufficiency. The funded activities include permanent housing, transitional housing, rapid rehousing, emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, and supportive services such as case management, mental health treatment, and job training. As the lead agency for the Los Angeles Continuum of Care, LAHSA coordinates federal, state, county, and city resources to implement comprehensive strategies for reducing and preventing homelessness through its network of nonprofit and government partners. The grant will run through October 31, 2025.
