The Department of Housing and Urban Development's Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development awarded $1,049,253 to the County of Riverside, Housing and Workforce Solutions Division on February 1, 2026 under the Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267). The award funds establishment and operation of projects supporting permanent supportive housing for persons with disabilities, rapid rehousing, transitional housing, supportive services only, and Homeless Management Information Systems across Riverside County. The recipient may also use funds for Continuum of Care planning activities, fiscal control and accounting costs, acquisition and rehabilitation of real property for housing or supportive services, and new construction. Performance runs through January 31, 2027, with work performed in Riverside, California. The Continuum of Care Program is designed to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness and provide funding to nonprofit providers, states, and local governments to quickly house homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation, promoting access to mainstream programs, and optimizing self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
