The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $1,701,533.00 Continuum of Care Program (CFDA 14.267) project grant to the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), also known as Hacla, on January 1, 2025. This funding will support HACLA's efforts to provide a comprehensive range of housing and social services to address homelessness in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Key products and services to be delivered through this grant include permanent housing, transitional housing, rapid rehousing, homelessness prevention, and supportive services such as case management, mental health treatment, substance abuse support, and job training. HACLA will collaborate with nonprofit providers, public health agencies, universities, and local government entities to implement community-wide strategies addressing housing insecurity, with the goal of quickly rehousing homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma of homelessness.
