Description

Support for leaders in law and character program of the hyde park institute [the leaders in law and character program helps undergraduate students to develop a moral character that will aid them in being a virtuous practitioner of the law, and a more upright person in general. In designing LLC we interviewed attorneys and judges to ask about the character strengths most relevant for the practice of law. Through our program and personal mentors we help participants to acquire these personal qualities. We work from an aristotelian framework of virtue ethics. We draw from the teachings of moral philosophers. We use works of literature to illustrate individual character traits. LLC is a one-year program for a cohort of students.]
