This Project Grant award from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) under the USAID Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas (CFDA 98.001) program provides $2,000,000.00 to support the United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). The funding aims to enhance the participation and leadership of local women's organizations in responding to rising food insecurity in Ethiopia and South Sudan. This will involve investing in women-led initiatives to apply a gender lens across the humanitarian-peace-food nexus in these countries affected by the global food crisis. The 3-year award, running from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2026, will be implemented by UNDP as the prime awardee, with coordination through its parent organization, the United Nations.
