Under the auspices of the Af-Pak Trilateral, Washington State University (WSU) will participate in a consortium of Land-Grant universities led by the University of California- Davis to strengthen the extension and delivery systems of Afghanistan and Pakistan in order to better meet the needs of farmers and the rural poor. In support of this, a series of in-region extension workshops is proposed to 1. Strengthen technical skills in priority areas to provide a context for extension training, and 2. Provide an extension framework for subsequent implementation As such, WSU representative will help plan the workshops and develop and deliver training and extension materials to build technical skills and successful extension programs in the target countries.
