This National Science Foundation (NSF) Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Federal Grant Program (CFDA 47.070) award of $595,953 to Oklahoma State University (OSU) will establish the "Securaity Nexus", an interdisciplinary site for research and education focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and computer security. The project aims to foster collaboration between STEM teachers and university experts to advance AI and security education, helping teachers integrate these topics into their curricula and prepare high school students for college-level coursework. Key activities include developing machine learning, natural language processing, simulation, and network analysis solutions to address real-world problems in areas like vehicular networks, social media, and cybersecurity. The project will also provide hands-on experiences for teachers to enhance their practical skills and promote equitable access to technological advancements, particularly for Oklahoma's diverse and rural populations. This initiative seeks to build a capable, diverse workforce knowledgeable in AI and security, supporting scientific progress and innovation.
