About this award
The Colorado Department of Agriculture was awarded a $212,000 Project Grant from the USDA Forest Service under the Forest Health Protection federal grant program (CFDA 10.680) to conduct invasive plant management activities from May 4, 2023 through December 31, 2025. As the state agency responsible for agriculture and natural resources, Colorado Department of Agriculture will leverage its expertise to protect and manage non-federal forest and tree resources in Colorado from damaging invasive plants, in line with the Forest Health Protection program's goals. Through on-the-ground assessments and treatments, the Department will work to control the spread of invasive species that threaten forest health across both public and private lands in the state.
