This $182,999 Project Grant award from the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Integrative Activities (IA) program, CFDA 47.083, funds a 10-week interdisciplinary Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site program at the University of Wyoming focused on designing, creating, and innovating 3-dimensional user interfaces (3D UIs) to improve human sensory and motor performance in virtual environments. The "HUMANS MOVE" REU site will host 10 students from diverse backgrounds and provide them with research experiences, training, mentorship, and access to state-of-the-art facilities to evaluate human physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges and develop new interaction techniques, input devices, training methods, or user tools to enhance 3D tasks, scientific workflows, cybersecurity, distributed environments, health, and community improvement. The award period runs from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027.
