The University of Illinois was awarded a $483,610 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation Division of Computer and Network Systems under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering federal grant program (CFDA 47.070). The grant will fund research from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024 to develop defenses for deception of smartphone software applications for users with disabilities. The Computer and Information Science and Engineering program supports investigator-initiated research and education in computing, communications, and information science and engineering fields. This award will advance such work through the University's development of deceptive defenses to protect the software applications used by individuals with disabilities on their smartphones.
