NSF POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN BIOLOGY FY 2021: ELUCIDATING GENOMIC, TRANSCRIPTOMIC, AND PHENOTYPIC CONSEQUENCES OF GENETIC RESCUE IN WILD POPULATIONS This two-year $138,000 Project Grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Biological Infrastructure will fund research into the genomic, transcriptomic, and phenotypic consequences of genetic rescue in wild populations. The grant was awarded under the NSF's Biological Sciences program (CFDA 47.074), which aims to promote progress in the biological sciences and strengthen the nation's scientific enterprise through increasing knowledge and understanding of major problems. Specifically, the grant will support the fellow's research elucidating the effects of genetic rescue on wild populations at the genomic, transcriptomic, and phenotypic levels, advancing understanding of major challenges in population genetics and conservation biology. The place of performance is Ithaca, NY.
