The National Science Foundation awarded a two-year, $138,000 Project Grant to support research titled "Towards an Integrative Understanding of Conspicuous Signals: Phenotype, Genotype, and Adaptive Function of a Selected Trait." The grant was awarded under the Biological Sciences program (CFDA 47.074) to promote progress in the biological sciences and increase understanding of major problems confronting the nation. The research will be conducted in New Orleans, Louisiana from March 2022 through February 2024. It aims to advance knowledge of the phenotype, genotype, and adaptive function of a selected biological trait through an integrative research approach.
