This three-year Project Grant from the National Science Foundation's Division of Computer and Network Systems provides $250,000 to the University of Illinois for research titled "COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH: SATC: CORE: SMALL: TOWARDS LABEL ENRICHMENT AND REFINEMENT TO HARDEN LEARNING-BASED SECURITY DEFENSES." The funding supports investigator-initiated research and education under the Computer and Information Science and Engineering program (CFDA #47.070), which aims to advance computing, communications, and information science through support of research cyberinfrastructure and discovery. Specifically, the University of Illinois will conduct research towards improving techniques for label enrichment and refinement to strengthen machine learning-based approaches to cybersecurity defense. The period of performance is from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2024.
