The National Science Foundation awarded The Johns Hopkins University a $338,056 project grant under the Engineering federal grant program (CFDA 47.041) for the period of June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2024. The grant will support research to systematically characterize the dynamics of floating wind turbine arrays through collaborative work. Specifically, the university will empower next generation offshore wind farms by conducting research to better understand floating wind turbine array dynamics. This work will provide insight to help improve the quality and economic strength of offshore wind energy in the U.S. The place of performance for the research is Baltimore, Maryland.
