The Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance awarded a $300,000 Project Grant under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (CFDA 16.738) to the County of Crawford, a U.S. local government entity located in Wisconsin. The grant funds will be utilized for the procurement and implementation of an advanced Mobile Command Center (MCC) for the Crawford County Sheriff's Office (CCSO). The purpose of this project is to address significant challenges faced by the CCSO due to their current outdated and unsafe MCC. The proposed MCC will serve as a crucial resource in the management of violent crime scenes, thereby enhancing officer safety, facilitating effective community response, and ensuring scene security. The primary activities involve the design and customization of a state-of-the-art MCC equipped with cutting-edge technology to suit the unique requirements of the CCSO. The project period is from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2026.
