Description
Accreditation of law enforcement agencies is extremely important to their success, as IT is a tool that helps the organization demonstrate its commitment to professionalism and transparency to the community IT serves. Among the key functions law enforcement agencies struggle to maintain are policies and procedures as well as property room and evidence accountability. The seabrook police department will use the proposed funds to purchase enhancements to install in the property room to increase security; software to aid in the management of property and evidence; and to fund overtime for middle-managers to develop and refine policies critical to the community. These are the key functions necessary for the seabrook police department to achieve accreditation, but do not have the local budget for the initial costs.
