SPECIFICALLY, THE RECIPIENT WILL PROVIDE REBATES IN THE CHARLOTTE REGION OF NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF TEN (10) PIECES OF NONROAD EQUIPMENT AND TEN (10) ON-ROAD HEAVY-DUTY DIESEL VEHICLES.ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE REBATES FOR PROPOSED REPLACEMENT PROJECTS INCLUDING ONE (1) DOZER/LOADER, SEVEN (7) EXCAVATORS, TWO (2) GENERATORS, ONE (1) SCHOOL BUS, AND NINE (9) CLASS 6-8 ON-ROAD HEAVY DUTY DEVICES VEHICLES. REPLACEMENT PROJECTS ARE PROPOSED FROM THE FOLLOWING SECTORS: AGRICULTURE; CONSTRUCTION; AND FREIGHT. THE EXPECTED OUTCOMES INCLUDE PRIORITIZING COST-EFFECTIVE NITROGEN OXIDE (NOX) REDUCTIONS (WHICH MAXIMIZE OVERALL EMISSION REDUCTION) WHEN RECOMMENDING PROJECTS TO THE SELECTION COMMITTEE, REGULARLY ASSESSING PROGRESS AGAINST THE MILESTONES OUTLINES IN THE WORKPLAN, REGULARLY ASSESSING PROGRESS OF EACH SUB-GRANTEE TOWARDS COMPLETING THEIR REPLACEMENT PROJECTS AND REVIEWING REBATE PAPERWORK TO ENSURE NEW EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES MEET THE EMISSION RATE AGREED TO IN EACH SUB-GRANT.
