The $4.2 million EDA Project Grant awarded on September 8, 2022 supports the development of a biomanufacturing cluster in Manchester, New Hampshire led by the City of Manchester. Funded through the Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration's Economic Adjustment Assistance program, the grant will help establish Southern New Hampshire as a global epicenter for the production and distribution of regenerative tissues and organs. Key projects include developing a scaled production facility for cells, tissues, and organs; creating a business accelerator; establishing a cluster work-and-learn program; and building pilot stations for an organ logistics network. The funding will aid in developing and strengthening regional industry clusters while embracing economic equity, creating well-paying jobs, and enhancing U.S. competitiveness globally. Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute Inc., doing business as Armi, is the awardee responsible for delivering these cluster-building and job-creation initiatives.
