THIS AGREEMENT WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE CONNECTICUT MARITIME FOUNDATION IN ITS EFFORTS TO REDUCE DIESEL EMISSIONS AND EXPOSURE IN NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT. THIS PROJECT WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING TIER 0 AND TIER 2 PROPULSION ENGINES AS WELL AS RELATED EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR THE REPOWER WITH NEW TIER-3 CERTIFIED ENGINES IN TWO TUGBOATS AND WILL REDUCE EMISSIONS OF DIESEL PARTICULATE MATTER AND OTHER POLLUTANTS SUCH AS NITROGEN OXIDES, CARBON MONOXIDE AND HYDROCARBONS.
