LEAs receiving allocations of $30,000 or more must conduct comprehensive needs assessments and allocate not less than 20 percent of funds to well-rounded educational opportunities, not less than 20 percent to safe and healthy student activities, and a portion to effective technology use. LEAs receiving less than $30,000 must use funds in at least one of these three areas. Each subgrant must be for one year and at least $10,000. Records must be maintained for three years from final expenditure report submission.
