The Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services will use $1,886,131.82 in Formula Grant funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' Grants to States program (CFDA 45.310) to support its Five-Year Plan for Fiscal Years 2018-2022. The Plan's goals reflect the purposes of the Library Services and Technology Act and include providing access to library materials and information resources through physical and virtual spaces, supporting continuing education for librarians and library staff, and empowering libraries as community hubs for economic, educational and cultural development. As the state library administrative agency and recipient of the Formula Grant funds, the Rhode Island Department of Administration's Office of Library and Information Services will oversee delivery of these services to benefit the people of Rhode Island through Fiscal Year 2023.
