The Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services received a $279,619 Formula Grant award from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services to provide supported employment services under the Supported Employment Services for Individuals with the Most Significant Disabilities program (CFDA 84.187). The grant period runs from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. As the designated state vocational rehabilitation agency, ADRS will use the funding to develop collaborative programs with appropriate public and private non-profit organizations to deliver supported employment services assisting individuals with the most significant disabilities in obtaining competitive, integrated employment. The Alabama Department of Public Health is identified as the parent agency of ADRS.
