The Oregon Department of Education received a $2.54 million formula grant award from the Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services on July 1, 2021 to support early intervention services for infants and toddlers with disabilities through September 30, 2022. The funding was provided under the Special Education-Grants for Infants and Families program (CFDA 84.181) to assist states in implementing a coordinated system of early intervention services for eligible children and their families. As part of this award, sub-grants were provided to nine Education Service Districts across Oregon - Lane ESD, David Douglas SD 40, Northwest RESD, Clackamas ESD, Intermountain ESD, High Desert ESD, Douglas ESD, and Linn-Benton-Lincoln ESD - to deliver early intervention services at the local level through September 2022. These services help make available screening, evaluations, and individualized family support services for infants and toddlers ages birth to three who have disabilities and developmental delays.
