The Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services has awarded a $15,749,876 Formula Grant to the State of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services under the Special Education-Grants for Infants and Families program (CFDA 84.181). This grant funding will be used to implement and maintain a statewide, comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary, interagency system to make available early intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families in North Carolina. The grant period runs from July 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024. As the lead public health agency for the state, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has extensive experience administering federal grants across a range of health and social service programs.
