Description
This project will provide fishery dependent catch composition data from major harvest sources as well as fishery independent indices of relative abundance and biological and movement data for striped bass stocks in north carolina. Biological and abundance data can be used to examine long term demographic trends and be used to improve bycatch estimates while also evaluating management measures and habitat usage to improve stock assessments. Inclusion of this data in stock assessments and fishery management plans provides for more effective management and conservation of striped bass.
