Description
The purpose of the archery in the schools and community program is to create and enhance interest in shooting sports for school-aged students in grades 4TH-12TH and to enhance youth adult participation within communities. The approach is to train teachers and other community leaders using the national archery in the schools program (nasp) format. Nasp format is to be used to present archery lessons to students in school, during the day, and to youth adults in community programs. We expect students who have been exposed to archery, a shooting sport, to carry that interest outside of the classroom and pursue other shooting, hunting, and outdoor related activities on their own.
