Description

Identify dioxin related tissue accumulation and larval mortality, as well as assess effectiveness of carbon filters at removing dioxins at tpwd coastal hatcheries and identify appropriate changes in water management and filtration to improve larval flounder production. Evaluate the efficacy of ovaplant-l to improve and synchronize flounder spawning and increase EGG and larval output of tpwd coastal hatcheries. These outcomes will ultimately improve the tpwd stock enhancement program to optimize the long-term utilization and sustain flounder populations at levels that are necessary to ensure replenishable stocks of this commercially and recreationally important species.
