About this award
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded $120,952.19 to Washington's Traffic Safety Commission on October 1, 2025, under the Section 405(d) 24/7 Sobriety Program Grant, a formula grant component of the National Priority Safety Programs (CFDA 20.616).

Funding is apportioned using the statutory formula and allocated based on the state's approved Triennial Highway Safety Plan and Annual Grant Application, which detail problem identification, countermeasure strategies, and performance measures designed to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities from motor vehicle crashes.
The Traffic Safety Commission, Washington's designated State Highway Safety Office located in Olympia, administers the award. Period of performance runs through September 30, 2029. The Commission implements highway safety programs statewide in coordination with state and local partners, including law enforcement agencies, and administers multiple NHTSA grant programs. Funds are reimbursed on submitted vouchers for incurred costs through electronic funds transfer.
