About this award
This $387,133.10 Formula Grant award from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under the State and Community Highway Safety program (CFDA 20.600) supports the Judiciary Courts of the State of Indiana's Policy and Administration Division, doing business as the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI), in conducting highway safety programs across the state.
The grant enables ICJI, as Indiana's designated state planning agency for criminal justice, juvenile justice, traffic safety, and victim services, to implement a coordinated statewide program to reduce traffic crashes, deaths, injuries, and property damage. Funding will be used to support behavioral highway safety initiatives, including impaired driving countermeasures, occupant protection programs, and traffic safety information system improvements, as outlined in Indiana's approved triennial Highway Safety Plan. ICJI will sub-award portions of the grant to local government and community partners for targeted interventions in these areas.
