The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma $312,430 under the Community Services Block Grant (CFDA 93.569) on October 1, 2025.

The award funds community services delivery targeting poverty reduction, economic self-sufficiency, and community revitalization in low-income areas. The Community Services Block Grant program provides assistance through community action agencies and neighborhood-based organizations to secure employment, attain education, obtain adequate housing and living environments, access emergency assistance including nutritious food and health services, and coordinate linkages between governmental and social services programs.

The period of performance runs from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2027. Performance occurs in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Choctaw Nation, a federally recognized Native American tribe headquartered in Durant, Oklahoma, receives Community Services Block Grant funding as a formula allocation to support ongoing service delivery operations across social services and community development. The tribe operates as a multi-program federal grant recipient with a portfolio concentrated in health services, food assistance, nutrition programs, elder care, child welfare, and community development activities aligned with tribal government operations.
