The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services was awarded a $450,984.66 Formula Grant from the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service. The grant was awarded under the Pandemic EBT Administrative Costs program (CFDA #10.649) and will provide funding from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
The Pandemic EBT Administrative Costs program provides Federal financial participation to State agencies and local entities for costs incurred to operate the Pandemic EBT Food Benefit Program (P-EBT). Specifically, the funding will support Montana's administration of the P-EBT program, which provides food benefits to families of children who would have received free or reduced-price meals if not for COVID-19 related school closures and remote learning. The grant award will allow Montana to deliver these critical food benefits through September 2022.
