About this award

The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) has awarded a $114,533 Formula Grant under the State Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions Program (CFDA 16.556) to the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Incorporated (LCADV). This grant funding supports LCADV's critical work as the state domestic violence coalition for Louisiana, including coordinating statewide victim services activities and collaborating with federal, state, and local entities on violence against women initiatives.

LCADV will use the grant funds to operate the state's domestic and sexual violence hotline, provide legal assistance and representation to survivors, conduct public awareness and prevention efforts, deliver housing and shelter resources, and offer training and advocacy services. As a sub-grantee, LCADV has also partnered with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice, and the Louisiana Department of Health to implement comprehensive programs that improve coordination between advocacy and criminal justice entities and facilitate access to support services for victims across the state. This Formula Grant award is effective from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
