The New Hampshire Department of Health & Human Services received a $170,000 Formula Grant award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the State Indoor Radon Grants program (CFDA #66.032) to implement a state radon risk reduction program from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023. The goal of the program is to provide radon risk reduction through public information, outreach, education on radon testing and mitigation, programs to control radon in existing and new structures, and demonstration of radon mitigation methods and technologies. Additional public health support services will be provided through two $85,000 subawards to JSI Research & Training Institute Inc. focusing on public health professional support services and additional public health support services to support the state's radon risk reduction efforts.
