Description
Coyote valley tribal self-governance planning project - the coyote valley band of pomo indians cvbpi) is expressing interest by approval of resolution cvtc-2024-02-01-R2 to participate in HHS-2024-IHS-tsgp-0002 cooperative agreement funding opportunity as announced by the indian health service. The award of this funding will provide the tribe with the resources to conduct an in-depth analysis and collection of data on psfa's and tribal shares available at the IHS. This funding will enable the cvbpi to make an informed decision to expand psfa's to offer new services at the local level. This planning process is outlined in a timeframe chart formatted to provide an overview of the objectives and series of well thought out activities to conclude within a 12-month period. The metrics applied will adequately measure the outcome and success of each objective. The planning process through the HHS-2024-IHS-tsgp-0002 cooperative agreement will allow the tribe to make an informed decision, to examine psfa's and tribal shares to align with the tribes goals and objectives, such as a pharmacy program. This process allows the tribe to evaluate and implement isdeaa title v authorities i.e., to redesign or RE-budget to meet the tribe's needs directly beneficial to the cvbpi citizens. An expansion of psfa's and tribal shares can provide a new service to the community at cost savings as a tribally operated pharmacy program. Depending on the outcome of the research the cvbpi will have some other viable options for new services as other isdeaa provisions may provide for example 340B program or national supply service center.
