About this award

The Department of State Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration awarded a $6 million cooperative agreement to Americares Foundation, Inc. to support the availability of and access to timely health care services for Venezuelan migrants and refugees, as well as host communities in Colombia, under the Overseas Refugee Assistance Programs for Western Hemisphere (CFDA 19.518).

The cooperative agreement will support Americares in providing direct emergency humanitarian assistance such as food, non-food items, shelter, health services, psychosocial support, and livelihoods support from September 2022 through September 2023. This funding furthers PRM's response since 2017 to the outflows of refugees and migrants from Venezuela by assisting those in need with basic necessities and health care.
