About this award

The Financial Services Volunteer Corps (FSVC) will partner with the Sentry to counter corruption and support transparency and accountability in Sudan through a $1,333,333 cooperative agreement awarded by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL). The agreement, awarded on May 25, 2022 for a performance period concluding on February 29, 2024, will support DRL's International Programs to Support Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (CFDA No. 19.345). This program funds targeted democracy and human rights initiatives globally to address human rights abuses, open political space in struggling democracies, and support civil society. Under the cooperative agreement, FSVC and the Sentry will work with Sudanese partners to counter corruption and money laundering, strengthen oversight and accountability, and support independent media and civil society through capacity building and technical assistance.
