Description
One of the focus variables would be cloud cover from geostationary satellites to inform the simulated cloud fraction, which exerts important controls on snow melt timing and magnitude through modulation of net radiation. The project would fund postdoctoral researchers to implement model updates and assess model improvements. The objective is to advance the physically based and distributed modeling capability of the colorado basin river forecast center (cbrfc) to improve water supply forecasting.
