Description

That shortage has now reached critical levels. IT is required by the FAA, that aircraft mechanics have 1900 hours of classroom and hands on training. This means a student will need a 2 year education before entering the workforce. Once the airframe and powerplant (a p) licensing is complete, then they can start building experience in the field. Advanced helicopter services proposes to launch an apprentice program to allow candidates the opportunity to earn a living and gain valuable experience while getting the education they need to obtain their airframe and powerplant license . Our aim is to produce well qualified mechanics with helicopter experience in the time IT would take someone to graduate from a certified school. We can also adapt the training for someone who has some experience out of the military allowing them to join the work force much sooner. IT is our goal to graduate 10 students per year out of this program at a minimum.
