Description

This project would include practices such as thinning, trimming, chipping, slash pile removal. The bull mountains is a mix of private landowners, subdivisions, state and federal lands. These private and public lands are often intermingled in an area. Our goal is to create a fuels reduction program to combine work in these areas to create a landscape level approach. Looking to tie into projects recently completed and underway with department of natural resource conservation (dnrc) and the bureau of land management and tie in with fires and other natural and man-made features such as the signal peak mine. The project area will extend south of roundup, MT to the bull mountain divide, the location of the hawk creek fire on highway 87. IT will include all of musselshell county and a small portion of golden valley county, just east of lavina.
