Through this award, Partnership for the Umpqua Rivers will provide natural resource management and watershed restoration services to promote recovery from the devastating Archie Creek Fire in Oregon. Specific deliverables include determining the best approach for effective and timely restoration, collecting thermal infrared, high-resolution, and natural color orthomagery over 11 miles of Rock Creek, and continuing 3 more years of summer stream reference temperature monitoring. The work will restore and maximize natural production of salmon, steelhead, trout and lamprey species by restoring channel morphology, reconnecting floodplains, and rehabilitating aquatic habitat damaged by the fire.
