About this award
The University of Washington was awarded a $123,447 cooperative agreement from the U.S. Geological Survey to refine statistical tools and analyses of ecological indicators for fisheries management under the Cooperative Research Units program. The goal of the four-year project beginning in December 2021 is to work with the USGS to develop improved statistical methodologies that support the program's mission of addressing the information needs of state and federal fish, wildlife, and natural resource agencies through applied research, technical assistance, and education. As part of a cooperative agreement, the University is expected to contribute additional resources and collaborate closely with USGS throughout the project period ending in September 2026 to refine statistical models and analyses that further the program's applied research objectives.
